Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa) #3

About 75 cm high
Around 200 years old
Pot Chinese
From a tree which was collected in 1998 in Colorado by Larry Jackel

This pine by now is in almost showable condition. It is a good example for ponderosas that do survive in European climate, as they can well in other parts far away from the Rocky Mountains. And it also shows well that one can create a credible bonsai with the foliage which seems to be way to long in general. Also it shows well the fact that in naturalistic styling one works around 360 degrees and does not care too much about the final front. In the end it should look credible from all sides. But it will still have hopefully one good sides, but often more than one.
